Andy Smith Olympic Illustration

Have you been into a Waitrose this week?

If not, hot foot it. Do a Usain Bolt impression and make haste.

And pick up the Waitrose Weekend free paper (before Thursday when they replace it with the next edition).

Because on the cover you will find a fantastic illustration created by Andy Smith. It represents a city scape of London incorporating all the countries competing in the Olympic games, even Palau.

Pure genius.

  1. I'd love to share this but as I am based in the country that gave birth to the Olympics all those thousands of years ago, I need to be able to show my Greek friends where their nation is on this map.

I've looked but obviously not hard enough - where is Greece mentioned?

  3. OK, I found it. Greece is shown in slightly cursive letters in the front window of a taxi cub in the top right hand corner. Rather hidden away, when you consider Greece is where it all started, but never mind, it's a terrific concept.
