He loves his lips.

It has been eons since my last satcap and my only excuse is that my kids just haven't been funny recently.
I will always blame the tools and never the workman.
But they were feeling mischievious today and here they are.

Tempting as it was to leave them while I got on with the shopping, the senior managers having a meeting at the top of aisle 8 looked like they would stick a barcode on them and sell them on a BOGOFF.

In the week when I start an exercise program and a diet, I buy the kids cakes.
I am mad.
It was pure torture. Right up to the bit when all the icing had been licked off and the cake was deemed to be yuk and left abandoned on the plate. Right there in front of me. I swear it was winking at me.
He was right though. The cake was a bit yuk.

So picture the scene.

You're hanging out your bathroom window, with your zoom lens set to the max, pointing in the general direction of a particularly colourful cloud formation over your neighbours garden, when you realise your neighbours are actually sitting in their garden, speculating why you might be (seemingly) taking photos of their hedge?

Not to be outdone, your neighbour goes and retrieves his zoom lens and rather nice camera attached, and takes photos back in your direction. Meanwhile, your children, eager to catch a glimpse of the colourful cloud formation for themselves, are hanging out of the bedroom window just to your right.

Thank you neighbour for forwarding on this particularly (un)flattering photo of the Big One.

Oh, wait. No, it's okay. He's got up. In fact he's... yes he is trying to lift the tractor himself. Oh my goodness. He seems to have developed super human strength and can lift 5 times his own body weight. No, hang on. No. We are going to need a pick up truck after all. What do you mean you don't handle that kind of emergency? Don't you realise that if he hasn't got his tractor back up and facing the right way in precisely 15 seconds I will need medical attention?

The last day of term has come and suddenly there are 40 39 days laying ahead (not counting, really). I am certain they will be filled with the sound of children's laughter. Perhaps not my children, but somewhere out there, children will be laughing.

Before they broke up, the Princess had a couple of hours in her reception class to meet the teacher and a few other children before she starts school in September. I captured this moment when I went to pick her up.
